Currently, ivermectin is only available through a prescription from a licensed medical professional. However, a new bill introduced in the Tennessee General Assembly would change that.
If passed, the bill would allow pharmacists to dispense ivermectin without a prescription to people ages 18 and older. There are some restrictions - for example, pharmacists would only be able to dispense up to three doses per person, and each dose would have to be taken at least 72 hours apart.
